SeeYan, aged 36, who is a secondary school teacher, uses "Snoopy" as her Christian name (English nickname), so you know how deep her love in Snoopy is. Her clothing, from head to shoes, have snoopy icons and patterns. When she set the exam papers for her students, she will use "Snoopy" as the main character in the exam question. The only thing she did not say is that: Her body is flowing with the blood of Snoopy! Her first encounter with Snoopy was at 5 years old, when her parents asked her to watch the Peanuts TV cartoons in order to learn English. Then, she starts to know a dog with simple black-and-white colour and simple outlook named Snoopy.
She has collected Snoopy for over 30 years, and has over 1000 Peanuts products. However, due to the redecoration at home, she can only bring out part of them for photo taking.
She travelled to Indonesia for only one purpose: To visit the Charlie Brown Cafe.
In 2008, she visited the Charles M Schulz Museum, the creator of Peanuts, in Santa Rosa California USA.
When the reporter asked her how much she can do for Snoopy, she replied, "If I could marry him, I would like to marry him. It is because Snoopy is loyal to his owner, Charlie Brown." In order to save on buying Snoopy, she spends very little on other daily expenses. For example, except Snoopy handbags, she has never purchased a luxury bandage that is over 300 Hong Kong dollars.
She likes to visit all Snoopy Towns and Places worldwide. She has been to Malaysia, China, Japan, USA, etc. Besides buying Peanuts goods worldwide, she likes to meet different Snoopy fans in the world. She thinks that it will be more meaningful to know other Snoopy fans than just buying Snoopy limited edition products. You can say that every time she travels, she is for Snoopy. Her friends are surprised by her passion for Peanuts. Every time they hear that she travels to Japan, they will ask, "Are you going to look at how the businesses of Snoopy are growing?"
Once, SeeYan used 5 days to visit Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, but just for the Charlie Brown Cafe. When her friends know her crazy actions, they ask, "Are you silly and stupid? You went to Malaysia but you did not visit the famous tourist spot Twin Tower? You visited the Malaysia Charlie Brown Cafe only and then you tell other people that you have visited Malaysia?" Up to now, she visited 16 countries for Peanuts. She has a dream. "I would like to publish a book to talk about my experiences in finding Snoopy worldwide. I believe that no Hong Kong people have published a book on Snoopy travelling before."
Once, SeeYan travelled in Tokyo, and walked for several days in order to look for a Snoopy cup soup. Now, after drinking, she still keeps the empty cup.
In a graduation dinner, a group of Secondary 6 student home-made a Snoopy badge to thank for SeeYan's teaching.
Her T-shirt, shoes, handbag, and luggage are all in Snoopy.
When she talked about her first Snoopy collectible, "When I was in Secondary 1, one of my classmates noticed that I will bring my own lunch box every day to school, and she knew that I love Snoopy. So, on my birthday, she gave e a Snoopy utensil's bad as a birthday gift. At that time, we were young and did not have a lot of pocket money from parents. So, I treasure a lot for her kindness and I still keep this bag until now."
Once SeeYan visited the Peanuts Bakery in Hokkaido Japan for the Snoopy-shaped bread. The baker gave her the limited edition of the home-made Snoopy bag and she treasured a lot for his kindness.
As age grows up, she had a different approach of collecting Snoopy. Now, she will choose to collect the Snoopy products that are practical in usage. For example, she had a Snoopy kitchen set, in order to integrate Snoopy in her daily life.
